At 1:00 AM on a Saturday morning, hundreds of participants were waking up for the Ride2Survive event – a 400-kilometer bike ride from Kelowna to Delta.
PRIME Event Partners’ Director of Sales & Marketing, Dale Cull, is a strong believer in this cause which raises money for cancer research and funnels every penny directly back to the cause.
No funds donated are used to run the bike ride and hence the event is fully reliant on the time and dedication of 200+ volunteers. The brave riders, supportive volunteers, and generous patron/sponsor donations have enabled Ride2Survive to be “the Canadian Cancer Society’s biggest independent fundraising event”.
This physically and emotionally challenging event is a metaphor for the challenges that cancer patients face on a daily basis. Despite the early call time and 20-hour commitment, over 150 cyclists participated, raising a total of nearly $1.1 million.
PRIME Event Partners is pleased to have supported Dale’s time and passion to participate in this meaningful event, as we do with the ‘passion to give back’ of each of our team members.
We’d especially like to recognize the founders, Kerry & Vicki Kunzli, for their hard work and dedication to running Ride2Survive for the past 15 years.
